Our Teachers
Anthony Palmiscno
Ph.D., RYT200
Anthony is a teacher in the broadest sense of the word. As a scholar of Spanish cultural studies and former professor, he looks for every opportunity to learn and share more about the world in and out of the classroom. This curiosity is what drove him to pursue yoga and learn more about the intricacies of movement while leaving perfectionism at the door. His yoga teaching focuses on philosophy, mindfulness, and functional movement. He believes that yoga allows us to be with what is while we care for ourselves, all with the hopes of restoring our bodies so that we may work toward the restorative justice that our society so desperately needs. He sees yoga as an embodiment of self-care, which is inextricably tied to community care. When you nurture yourself, you nurture your community, ultimately fostering mutual aid that supports the collective its longevity. Yoga is a chance for play, getting to know your body better, and liberation. In his spare time, Anthony loves learning languages, traveling, playing the piano, and listening to music. He hopes to create spaces of radical safety through the yoga he teaches.
