In-Studio Classes Now Open for Vaccinated Individuals

At this time in the global pandemic, we request that only people who are vaccinated for COVID-19 practice in-person at Yoga Lab’s studio space.

If you are not vaccinated, we welcome you to continue practicing with Yoga Lab online through our Live Virtual Classes from the comfort of your own home. We kindly request that you not practice in the physical studio space for your own health and safety and for the safety of the community.

By attending or participating in Yoga Lab programs, events, or activities you agree to adhere to Yoga Lab’s COVID-19 Code of Conduct (COC), you acknowledge the risk of being exposed to or infected by COVID-19, and you assume any and all such risk. You must also read and sign Yoga Lab’s Release and Waiver of Liability.

Yoga Lab reserves the right to revise its COC at any time it deems appropriate. Please review and comply with any revised COC prior to utilizing the facilities, services, and programs of the Studio. Please read the COC document for full details.

Know before you sign up:

  • New Scheduling System! We’ve switched to a new scheduling system called TeamUp! Please Log In or Register a new account to sign up for classes.
  • Class Venue: Class times are EST. Classes are listed as STUDIO (for in-person classes at Yoga Lab’s physical studio space) or VIRTUAL (for livestream virtual classes). Some classes are listed twice as both STUDIO and VIRTUAL, with teachers live-streaming their studio class. Please sign up for whichever mode you plan to participate in.
  • Preregistration Required: Please sign up online at least 30 min before class to reserve your spot. You’ll receive a confirmation email with the link to the class details. Last-minute signups are possible, but we recommend signing up early to reserve your space in the class and to inform the teacher of how many students to expect.
  • Waitlist: Sign up is first-come first-served. A waitlist will also be available. We don’t recommend dropping into the studio without signing up beforehand, because you may get turned away if the class sign-up list is full.
  • Cancellations: Cancellations must be made 30 min before class it will count as a Late Cancellation. If you cancel after the cancellation deadline, you may still unregister to open up a spot for someone else but this will still be counted against your membership usage limits and you will not receive a refund.

  • Vaccines Required: For STUDIO classes, you will be required to show the teacher your vaccine card or a photo of your vaccination card in order to enter the studio and take class. If you cannot produce proof of vaccination, you cannot take class.
  • Masked Required: Masks are required for STUDIO classes.
  • Bring your own mat: Please bring your own mat for STUDIO classes. Studio mats are not available at this time.

Mondays

Mondays 9:00 – 10:00 am: Reset & Begin (Level 2) with Brendan

Create space for yourself by connecting to the core. Each class begins with grounding work in order to help you align your spine so that you can move it in a variety of ways during class. You should still expect to sweat in this practice although we move more slowly between poses. This allows us to take a little more time with each pose in order to establish the asana practice. Prepare for the week to begin anew as we hit the reset button on our mats.

Mondays 12:00 – 1:00 pm: Spark the Heart (Level 2) with Kristen

Arrive on your mat ready to witness, explore, and transform whatever is in your heart and through movement ignite an intention to guide you through the week. Bonus: Kristen is a YACEP with Yoga Alliance so Yoga Teachers get Continuing Ed Hours!

Mondays 5:30 – 6:30 pm: Spark the Heart (Level 1-2) with Anne

Make space in your schedule to make space in your body and mind! Many parts of the body get restricted and weak from daily modern life. In this flow, our focus will be to strengthen the weak muscles, lengthen the tight ones, and create healthy movement patterns all around! Find your capacity to create space into your body and life.

Tuesdays 10:30 – 11:30 am: Strong Foundations (Level 1-2) with Anna

Tap into your strength and gain strong foundations with Yoga Lab co-founder Anna Engels! This class focuses on understanding foundational elements of a strong yoga practice, including alignment of yoga postures and transitions (inversions included), the power of the breath, and use of props to support your practice. Learn about common muscular imbalances and how to build strength and flexibility where needed to bring balance to the body and mind. Bonus: Anna is a YACEP with Yoga Alliance so Yoga Teachers get Continuing Ed Hours!

Tuesdays 11:30 am – 12:00 pm: Individualized Consultation with Anna

(UNLIMITED Member Perk)

Get individualized feedback and tips for your yoga practice from Yoga Lab Co-Founder Anna Engels, Ph.D., E-RYT500, YACEP. Private sessions with Anna are usually $75/hr, so this perk is a major value FREE for Unlimited Members only! Anna is available for virtual individualized consultations for members every Tuesday and Thursday 11:30am – 12pm, preregistration required.

Step into the space between spaces. A space that notices how the body and mind moves in alignment with self. A space to show up exactly as you are.

Wednesdays

Wednesdays 6:30 – 7:30 am: Buffer (Level 1-2) with Laura

Buffer: Lessen or moderate the impact of something (like increased computer time), 2) (computing): a temporary memory area in which data is stored while it is being processed or transferred, especially one used while streaming video. See also BUFF (adjective): muscular or fit, “you will feel BUFFer after this class”. Join Laura for a strong morning flow that will provide a feeling of strength and spaciousness so you are better able to keep that feeling downloaded into your body’s memory throughout the day!

Wednesdays 7:00 – 8:00 pm: Ethereal Flow (Level 1-2) with Courtney

Discover a state of fluidity within by getting out of the head space and into the union of breath and body. This slow-paced flow will center on linking breath work with fluid movements to help release the mental barriers that keep us weighed down. Exploring the dualities of strength and softness, this class focuses on releasing what is no longer serving us to allow space for spiritual connection and authentic being. Join Courtney in this gentle, evening flow to get swept away in a self-cultivated state of gracefulness and gratitude.

Thursdays

Tursdays 10:00 – 11:00 am: Power Up (Level 2) with Anna

Feel the power of movement to ignite your joyful spirit! Tap into your power and joy with this invigorating and challenging Level 2 class focused on building strength and playing upside down. Join Anna and get your sunny side up with Power UP!

Restore your body’s energetic balance. Each class focuses on spinal alignment by establishing a neutral pelvis and connecting to the body’s core musculature. By taking a little more time in poses, we explore creative ways to engage the body and move in a variety of ways within the same position. This practice aims to build you up to a gentle sweat as we continue to engage and move every muscle of the body. Regardless of what your work week looks like, this class will help you feel that “weekend energy” within.

Fridays 5:30 – 6:30 pm: Mantra (Level 2) with Taylor

Mantra: a word or sound that is repeated as an aid in meditative focus. In this resonant, input-driven practice, we will train the body and mind in mindful focus. Building upon fundamental sequences, following the breath, we will clarify our practice to truly arrive on the mat. Like a slow wade into the ocean, we will ease into this practice deliberately, warming up to deeper stretches and greater engagement. Practitioners of all levels welcome.

Saturdays

Saturdays 10:00 – 11:00 am: Fire UP (Level 2) with Kristen

Fire UP your weekend with Yoga Lab co-founder Kristen! Who needs hot yoga when there is core work and inversions? Connect to your core, build your own heat from the inside out, and get UP!! Perfect for experienced practitioners who enjoy a hot and sweaty practice, arm balances, and inversions.

Saturdays 12:00 – 1:00 pm: StrongHER (Level 1-2) with RC

Join Coach RC for 60 minutes of challenging flows paired with funky tunes that will add a spark to your day. This class will focus on strengthening all of the muscles of the body so that you feel more confident in the gym and in everyday life!

Sundays

Sundays 11:00am – 12:00 pm: Yoga Unplugged (Level 1-2) with Jeremy

We live in stressful times. Wouldn’t it be nice to take an hour out of your day to unplug and recharge? In Yoga Unplugged, a class suitable for all levels led by Yoga Lab co-founder Professor Jeremy David Engels, we will move our bodies around the mat in order to tap into the stillness that resides just below the noisy din of daily life. Unplug from your phone. Unplug from external stressors. Unplug from narratives about what you are and are not capable of. Unplug to recharge for life off the mat.

Sundays 5:30 – 6:30 pm: Gentle Strength (Level 1-2) with Allie

Begin or end your week realizing the gentle strength within yourself. This vinyasa class will cultivate gentle strength through a comfortable pace, breath awareness, core stability, and functional movement. We will wind down each class with a series of restorative postures and prepare for the upcoming week with an extended savasana.
