Not Included:
Airfare is not included. Alcohol is available but not included. All other goods and services such as spa treatments, excursions, tours, and bar drinks will be charged separately to each guest’s room account.
Private Sessions are not included. A limited number of private sessions with Anna or Kristen are available and can be scheduled in advance or at the retreat ($45 for 1/2hr or $90 for a 1-hr session).
Gratuity is not included. Although optional, staff gratuities are very important in Mexico and are welcome by cash only and should be handed to the front desk at check-out; they will be distributed among the staff. Recommended gratuity per guest is $20 USD per night spent at Mixto.

Earthy and sophisticated, Mixto Villa’s rooms are a private beach & jungle oasis with the frills of a boutique hotel. Each one of the levels of the Villa displays a new magical setting: at the top, 2 dreamlike penthouses with an elegant bed and magic palapa roof and at the lower levels, 4 cozy and peaceful rooms overlooking the ocean. FOOD & DRINK

We’ve customized this retreat as all plant-based. Nourish yourself with delicious vegan food and discover the joys of a plant-based lifestyle.
You'll be served from a menu that's inspired by an original variety of local flavors and designed for yogis and people who care about health and fitness. Most ingredients are sourced locally for optimal freshness. Special diets and personal food allergies such as gluten-free can be catered to if Yoga Lab is informed in advance. All meals are served buffet style.
Three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included in the room rate, as well as fruit and granola before the morning yoga practice. Included drinks at meals are fresh juice of the day at breakfast and fresh fruit water or natural iced tea of the day at lunch. Fresh purified water, high quality house coffee and house tea and hot water are included available at the dining patio at any time of the day from 7:00 am to 9:30 pm.
Alcohol is available but not included. Mixto offers a varied selection of specialty coffees, smoothies, beers, wines, liquors, and cocktails at an additional cost (a bar menu is available upon request).
ECO - ADVENTURE
Included Excursions
The price of the retreat includes two guided excursions to connect deeply to the wonders of the natural world, including a hike through the jungle to a pristine waterfall, and snorkeling in the protected waters of Los Arcos National Marine Park. Enjoy some serious immersion in nature away from tourists. The waterfall hike is a steep hike (45 min each way) that requires solid walking shoes, light sports clothes, a bottle of water, and bug repellent.
Kayaks and snorkel gear are also included to explore the coastline of Mixto Villa & Xinalani on your own, discovering pristine beaches and local marine life.

Additional Activities & Excursions
Other activities and adventures are also available at additional cost. Mixto’s activity schedule is subject to change, but may include activities such as swimming with dolphins, surf and SUP lessons, cooking classes, temazcal ceremony, ice bath therapy, etc. Massages and spa treatments are also available and can be charged separately to each guest’s account.

Immersed in nature and a remote little town
Mixto Villa is set on a wide pristine beach and a lush jungle of natural beauty. It offers an island-like experience with deep relaxation, exciting excursions and ocean sports. There are however limited amenities, don’t expect Starbucks or malls. Visiting Quimixto, the charming fisherman village where the staff resides, is an authentic and warm encounter. Quimixto's cobblestone streets, donkeys, stray dogs and friendly villagers make it an inviting place. Mixto actively supports the community through various giving back initiatives.
10 Minute Walk from Xinalani Retreat Center
Xinalani Retreat Center is only a 10 minute walk away. Mixto Villa is the perfect mix with privacy and calm for a small intimate retreat experience, but also with access to Xinalani’s facilities, activities, and excursions.
Private Yoga Sanctuary
Yoga and meditation classes will be held by the pool at Mixto, on the beach, or Mixto’s own private yoga shala. Mixto’s private yoga shala is an open air palapa with a wooden floor, high ceiling palm-thatched roof, ceiling fans, and wide vistas to the jungle, river mouth, mountains, and ocean. Construction of the new yoga shala is complete, responsibly built by regional artisans using local sustainably grown wood. It can accommodate 30 mats and comes fully stocked with all props and mats so you can leave your mat at home. It is even built for aerial yoga, holding 16 hammocks.

Fly into Puerto Vallarta
Mixto is only 12 miles south of Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Mixto’s 250-yard-wide secluded beach is accessible only by boat. Guests must book an arrival flight that lands no later than 4:00 PM and a departure flight that takes off no earlier than 12:00 PM. For safety reasons, nighttime boat travel is not available. Please make sure your flight times fit these guidelines.
There is no road access
Mixto is only accessible by boat, there is no road leading to the resort. This is important, so we’ll say it again - Guests must book an arrival flight that lands no later than 4:00 PM and a departure flight that takes off no earlier than 12:00 PM for safety reasons in order to avoid nighttime boat travel.
After landing at Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), take a moment to change into comfortable clothes for your trip to Mixto. You’ll be arriving by boat, so expect to get wet up to your knees when stepping off the boat and onto our beach. We suggest wearing shorts, sandals, and sunscreen. We also recommend safeguarding your cell phone and valuables in a waterproof dry bag.

We’ll take good care of you! Roundtrip shuttle service is already included in the price of the retreat. Please send your detailed flight itinerary for both arrival and departure (airline, flight number, flight landing, and take-off schedule) to info@yogalabstudio.com at the time of final payment (by April 1, 2024), and notify us in case of last minute changes.

Socially-Responsible Eco-Friendly
Mixto is committed to making a change in the travel and hospitality business by taking on eco-friendly practices (recycling, composting, low energy consumption appliances, etc) and by respecting their community (hiring mostly from the local town, investing in training, giving staff opportunities to grow). They give back to their community through school supplies, scholarships, personal growth and empowerment lectures, and improvement of infrastructures. Leave your hairdryer, soap, and shampoo at home - Mixto will provide you with biodegradable soaps and shampoos because they recycle the water and use it for irrigation purposes.

What are Carbon Offsets?
With carbon offsets, you can counteract your personal carbon footprint by helping build clean energy and carbon-reducing projects. Yoga Lab will offset your greenhouse gas emissions for this retreat by purchasing Native carbon offsets.
What project will this help build?
Yoga Lab will offset your carbon emissions for this retreat by supporting Native’s Waste to Fuel Project: Improving Agriculture and Livelihoods in Mexico. This project provides small-scale and subsistence farmers with cookstoves, biofuel, and organic fertilizer, which generate savings and increase crop yields and incomes, helping to improve livelihoods. Over the course of 4 years, 3000 farming households across Mexico will participate and contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions over 20 years.
