I still plan on holding class so long as it’s not raining at 3:30pm.

If it’s been raining for a good portion of the day, the ground will be wet. We’ll be practicing on the lawn, so you might want to bring a towel along with your yoga mat. If class is still on but you prefer not to practice on wet ground, that’s ok! For any Yoga Lab class you always have until 30min before class begins to cancel and still receive a refund for the yoga class.

If it’s raining at 3:30pm I’ll cancel the class and send an email notification to people who are registered. You can keep the drop-in to use for another class or we can issue a refund.

NOTE: Picnic Tapas & Live Music will move indoors and continue even if it rains. Please note that RE Farm Cafe reservation/ticket sales are final and will not be refunded if it rains. See Re Farm Cafe’s FAQ for details on cancellations/refunds.

LEARN MORE

Co-hosted by Yoga Lab and Tussey Mountain, Yoga On The Mountain is open to the entire community with 100% of profits supporting charity.

EVENT DATES:

There are three events planned this year over the seasons of Spring, Summer, and Fall.

April 24th from 1:00-3:00pm we’ll celebrate Earth Day and support the charity One Tree Planted. Every $1 plants 1 tree, so your participation alone will support the planting of 20 trees!!!

June 5th from 1:00-3:00pm we’ll support Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation.

September 18th from 1:00-3:00pm we’ll support Clearwater Conservancy.

The cost is $20 per participant per event. You can easily register for all three for $60. You are also welcome to register simply as a donation, whether or not you plan to attend, as 100% of your registration cost supports the charity. Preferably, we would LOVE to see you at the event and feel the power of community gathered to foster positive change together.

If this is your first time signing up, you’ll need to create an account and complete one time waiver forms before you can see event pricing. The Yoga On The Mountain events welcome everyone and are not limited to only vaccinated individuals, and mask wearing is optional.

We prefer you register on-line to complete waivers and make the Check-In process quicker the day of the event. However, participants can also arrive the day of the event with their donation and to sign hardcopy waivers.

On the Day of the Event:

Bring a water bottle, mat, and wear sun screen for a hike up Tussey Mountain, yoga and meditation co-taught by several teachers at the top, and a hike back town. Be ready to take some great photos, too!

Arrive and “Check In” at the base of Tussey Mountain to the left of Tussey Lodge. At 1:00pm the hike up will begin. At 1:30pm the yoga class begins at the top. After the 1hr long yoga class, at 2:30pm you can enjoy photo ops, then hike back down at your leisure.

In Case of Rain…

In case of unfavorable weather causing cancellation of the event, anyone registered will be notified by email at least 2 hours prior to the event. A notification will be posted on the Yoga Lab and Yoga On The Mountain Facebook pages.

“One of the basic reasons many people take up yoga is to change something about themselves: to be able to think more clearly, to feel better, and to be able to act better today than they did yesterday in all areas of life. In these endeavors yoga can be of great help, and it requires no prerequisites that must be fulfilled before we set out on this path.”
T.K.V. Desikachar, The Heart of Yoga
“The work of cultivating mindfulness is also play. It is far too serious to take too seriously—and I say this in all seriousness!—if for no other reason than because it really is about our entire life. It makes sense for a lightness of being and playfulness to be key elements of the practice of mindfulness, because they are key elements of well-being.”
John Kabat-Zinn, Mindfulness for Beginners
