SATURDAYS

LEVEL 1-2

In runner lingo, out-and-back refers to a course that goes to a turn around and ends where it started, in this case your yoga mat.

We will begin class barefoot on your mat to prepare the body for the run/walk (about 20 minutes of yoga), but have your sneakers & water handy.

We will lace up together and synchronize our watches to do an individualized 20 minute session–this could be an easy jog, speed play, run/walk intervals, plyometrics in your backyard, whatever type of steps you want to add to your day.

We’ll reconvene in our virtual studio for yoga cross training and cool down (roughly 25 minutes of yoga).

You’ll have the social outlet that helps you stick to a routine without the pressure to “keep up” or “slow down” that might prevent you from joining a group run making it very beginner friendly. This 75 minute class will include approximately 45 minutes of yoga instruction to bookend 20 minutes of individual run/walk time (with 5 minute transitions/water breaks). If you have any questions, just ask!

LEVEL 2-3

Fire UP your weekend with Yoga Lab co-founder Kristen! This class is meant to light you up with a fun energizing flow that challenges your strength and heart with plyometric movements and purposeful intention. Feel the sweat flow from your own internal heat as your body is liberated through the exploration of active innovative movements. Simultaneously be inspired by awakening messages and affirmative intention to ignite your heart as a leader of positive change and lighting up others in your life and the world.

Bonus: Kristen is a YACEP with Yoga Alliance so Yoga Teachers get Continuing Ed Hours!

ALL LEVELS

This class focuses on the integration of intelligence and curiosity in movement – key ingredients for a happy human! Find freedom in your squat. Explore healthy spine mobilization. Supercharge your day with breath-work. Each class engages your full body in novel movement patterns that will enhance your brain-body relationship.

SUNDAYS

LEVEL 2-3

Wherever you are in your inversion journey, getting on your hands is integral to building new neural pathways and it’s fun. We’ll engage and integrate the entire core in different ways as we channel energy to power functional movement patterns. Come be challenged, encouraged, and empowered in this mindful flow.

LEVEL 1-2

We live in stressful times. Wouldn’t it be nice to take an hour out of your day to unplug and recharge? In Yoga Unplugged, a class suitable for all levels led by Yoga Lab co-founder Professor Jeremy David Engels, we will move our bodies around the mat in order to tap into the stillness that resides just below the noisy din of daily life. Unplug from your phone. Unplug from external stressors. Unplug from narratives about what you are and are not capable of. Unplug to recharge for life off the mat.
Bonus: Jeremy is a YACEP with Yoga Alliance so Yoga Teachers get Continuing Ed Hours!

LEVEL 1-2

Begin or end your week realizing the gentle strength within yourself. This vinyasa class will cultivate gentle strength through a comfortable pace, breath awareness, core stability, and functional movement. We will wind down each class with a series of restorative postures and prepare for the upcoming week with an extended savasana.

“One of the basic reasons many people take up yoga is to change something about themselves: to be able to think more clearly, to feel better, and to be able to act better today than they did yesterday in all areas of life. In these endeavors yoga can be of great help, and it requires no prerequisites that must be fulfilled before we set out on this path.”
T.K.V. Desikachar, The Heart of Yoga
“The work of cultivating mindfulness is also play. It is far too serious to take too seriously—and I say this in all seriousness!—if for no other reason than because it really is about our entire life. It makes sense for a lightness of being and playfulness to be key elements of the practice of mindfulness, because they are key elements of well-being.”
John Kabat-Zinn, Mindfulness for Beginners
